AEDs and Defibrillators in Ireland: Supply, Advice and Training
Anyone can sell you a defibrillator. Our job is to make sure you buy the right one, put it in the right place, keep it rescue-ready, and have people who are confident to use it. Safety Equipment Ireland is the equipment division of Phoenix STS — a fire safety and health and safety consultancy whose fire engineers and health and safety consultants, all qualified to degree level, advise more than 290 organisations across Ireland. That advice comes before any sale, and it is free.
Start with advice, not a product
Before recommending an AED we ask about your building, who is present, staffing levels and response arrangements. If a lower-cost unit meets your need, we say so. If an AED alone is not the answer, we say that too. Two guides written and reviewed by our technical team will take you most of the way: the Defibrillator and AED Buying Guide for Ireland and the AED Pads and Batteries Replacement Guide.
The equipment
We supply the ZOLL AED and defibrillator range — units chosen for reliability, real-time CPR feedback and total cost of ownership — together with replacement pads and batteries for ZOLL and Powerheart ranges, cabinets, wall brackets and signage, and carry bags and cases. See also our ZOLL brand page.
Training: a defibrillator does not save lives — people do
Every AED purchase should come with trained, confident staff. Through Phoenix STS we deliver the Heartsaver AED course and the PHECC First Aid Response (FAR) course — certification from the same company that supplies and advises on your equipment. One supplier, one accountable standard, no gap between the kit and the competence.
Placement, governance and staying rescue-ready
An AED bought and forgotten is a false comfort. Placement and signage determine whether it is reached in time; pads and batteries carry expiry dates; weekly checks need an owner. We advise on all of this at purchase, and where our consultants carry out fire risk assessments or health and safety consultancy, emergency response arrangements — including defibrillation — are considered as part of the wider picture.
One company, the whole answer
Equipment, professional advice, training and consultancy from a single Irish company, ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 certified. Tell us about your building and your people, and we will tell you honestly what you need — and what you do not. Talk to the team or read how our quotations work.
