The ZOLL AED 3 Semi-Automatic is manufactured by ZOLL Medical and distributed in Ireland by Phoenix STS (Safety Equipment Ireland).
The ZOLL AED 3 is the current generation of ZOLL's public access defibrillators. Real CPR Help technology gives real-time feedback on compression rate and depth through a colour bar gauge on the touchscreen, and RapidShock analysis allows the unit to deliver a shock, when one is needed, in as little as five seconds. A single set of CPR Uni-padz universal electrodes treats both adults and children: the rescuer activates child mode instead of changing pads. The smart battery and the pads each last five years, and optional Wi-Fi connectivity with PlusTrac programme management software reports the unit's readiness automatically. This semi-automatic version prompts the rescuer to press the shock button when a shock is advised.
