ZOLL Defibrillators and AED Products Ireland

Safety Equipment Ireland supplies the ZOLL AED range across Ireland: the ZOLL AED Plus, the ZOLL AED 3, trainer units, plus the replacement pads, batteries, cabinets and carry cases that keep each device rescue-ready. The site is owned and operated by Phoenix STS, the fire safety and health and safety consultancy and training provider, so the same team can advise on the device, the housing and the staff training.

Everything is supplied by quotation. Use the model guidance below to shortlist, open the product pages that match your requirement, then send an enquiry with the model, quantity and delivery location.

ZOLL AED Plus

The AED Plus is ZOLL's established workplace and public access defibrillator. It uses one-piece CPR-D-padz electrodes with a five year shelf life and runs on consumer lithium 123a batteries with a five year battery life, which keeps the cost of ownership predictable. Real CPR Help gives the rescuer live feedback during compressions, prompting them to push harder or confirming good compressions. For children up to 8 years old, Pedi-padz II paediatric electrodes are available separately.

Choose between the ZOLL AED Plus Semi-Automatic, the ZOLL AED Plus Fully-Automatic and the ZOLL AED Plus First Responder configuration.

ZOLL AED 3

The AED 3 is ZOLL's current generation AED. It keeps Real CPR Help feedback on the rate and depth of compressions and adds a full colour touchscreen with rescue images, Wi-Fi connectivity for programme management, and universal CPR Uni-padz electrodes that cover adults and children from a single set: to treat a child the rescuer simply activates child mode rather than changing pads. Power comes from a dedicated five year smart battery that reports its own status.

It is supplied as the ZOLL AED 3 Semi-Automatic or the ZOLL AED 3 Fully-Automatic.

ZOLL trainer units

Trainer units look and sound like the live devices but cannot deliver a shock, so instructors can run realistic AED practice in complete safety. The ZOLL AED 3 Trainer mirrors the AED 3, while the AED Plus Trainer II mirrors the AED Plus. Both suit instructors and organisations that run in-house refreshers.

In short: the AED Plus offers a proven device with low running costs and off-the-shelf batteries, the AED 3 adds one set of pads for adults and children, a touchscreen and remote status reporting, and trainer units belong in the training room, never on the rescue wall. If you are unsure, describe the site and the likely rescuers in your enquiry and we will recommend a model.

Pads, batteries and consumables

Electrode pads and batteries are date-limited consumables, so build replacement into your planning. We quote CPR-D-padz and Pedi-padz II for the AED Plus, CPR Uni-padz Universal III adult and paediatric electrodes and the ZOLL AED 3 Battery Pack for the AED 3, and Type 123 lithium batteries for the AED Plus. Browse the full defibrillator pads and batteries range, and always include your AED model in the enquiry so compatibility can be checked before the quote issues.

Cabinets, cases and signage

A defibrillator should be visible, protected and easy to grab. Indoor options include the AIVIA 100 alarmed cabinet, while the AIVIA 200 outdoor heated cabinet protects devices mounted outside. For mobile cover there is the ZOLL AED 3 Carry Case and the AED Rescue Backpack. See the defibrillator bags and cases range and defibrillator accessories for wall signs, brackets and spares.

Training for your ZOLL AED

A defibrillator only saves a life if somebody is confident enough to take it off the wall. Phoenix STS delivers the Heartsaver AED course, which teaches CPR, AED use and choking relief for adults, children and infants, and the trainer units above support in-house practice between courses.

Under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005, employers must provide first aid arrangements appropriate to the risks in their workplace. In plain terms, if your risk assessment leads you to install an AED, your staff should be trained to use it and the device should be kept ready for use.

ZOLL AED FAQs

What is Real CPR Help? Real CPR Help is ZOLL's feedback technology, built into both the AED Plus and the AED 3. Sensors in the electrode pads measure chest compressions and the device coaches the rescuer on rate and depth in real time, prompting them to push harder or confirming good compressions.

How long do ZOLL pads last? CPR-D-padz electrodes for the AED Plus have a five year shelf life, and CPR Uni-padz electrodes for the AED 3 are also supplied with a five year shelf life. Every set carries an expiry date, so record it when the pads are fitted and order replacements before it passes.

Which batteries do ZOLL AEDs use? The AED Plus runs on consumer lithium 123a batteries with a five year battery life. The AED 3 uses a dedicated five year smart battery pack that reports its power status.

Semi-automatic or fully automatic? Both models are available in either configuration. A semi-automatic device analyses the casualty and prompts the rescuer to press the shock button. A fully automatic device delivers the shock itself after a spoken warning, which some organisations prefer where rescuers may hesitate.

How do I keep a ZOLL AED rescue-ready? Follow the routine checks set out in the operator's manual for your model, and replace pads and batteries before their expiry dates. If a check raises any doubt, or you need replacement parts, send us the model and we will check compatibility and quote.
