The ZOLL AED 3 Trainer is manufactured by ZOLL Medical and distributed in Ireland by Phoenix STS (Safety Equipment Ireland).
This training unit looks and behaves like the live ZOLL AED 3 but delivers no shock, so instructors can run realistic cardiac arrest scenarios in complete safety. Students practise pad placement and CPR on a manikin while the full-colour screen and prompts respond as the real device would, and Real CPR Help technology gives feedback on compression quality. Contact sensors in the training pads detect placement on the manikin, so no remote control is needed, and an on-device pause button lets the instructor stop a scenario to coach the student. The unit runs in semi-automatic or fully automatic mode and takes software updates over USB.
