eGo Evacuation Chair
The eGo is manufactured by Exitmaster and distributed in Ireland by Phoenix STS (Safety Equipment Ireland), the fire safety and health and safety consultancy and training provider.
The eGo is the most economical chair in the Exitmaster range, built around the same upright, four wheel, single operator format as the Versa family. One trained operator can load a person with impaired mobility and bring them down the stairs without assistance, and the ergonomic Free-walk design lets the operator walk naturally rather than stooping over the chair.
With the smallest minimum landing requirement in the range at 75 x 75cm and the lowest chair weight at 13.8kg, the eGo suits tighter stair cores and smaller buildings: smaller offices, schools, creches, retail units and community buildings that need a dependable evacuation chair without the corridor handles or harness options of the larger models. A footrest supports the passenger during descent, and the chair stores flat against the wall on its mounting bracket. The design is covered by European and international patents and registered designs.
