The EMS EvacMat is an upgraded version of the popular bariatric evacuation mat the EvacMat. Designed for use by emergency service personnel, the EMS EvacMat enables crews to slide plus sized individuals to safety, including via staircases, without the need for heavy lifting involved. Multiple anchor points allow for the use of ropes of a more controlled stair descents.
Incorporating large side wings and easy to use colour coded cross straps, which keep the individual securely cocooned and the body weight held in place, providing a solution to body mass stabilisation and making the movement of the EMS EvacMat more stable. Head and side ladder handles enable multiple rescuer contact and allow personnel to adopt good working posture, reducing the risk of injury to themselves.
EMS Bariatric EvacMat has many special features not available on the standard EvacMat. These include, a replaceable two piece sliding board - making the mat harder wearing and longer lasting, and an internal pocket allowing for the insertion of a spinal board - for greater stability and patient comfort while moving.
Other features include colour coded low and high positioning handles and anchor points, extra (loose) ladder handles - which can be attached to the many anchor points, internal pillow and a slide sheet for ease of transfer.
Made from flame retardant, anti-bacterial PVC with a hard Polyethylene base board.
Additional accessories include, replacement outer sliding board, waterproof hood, ladder handles, slide sheets and casualty handling slings.
