The Head Support ProMove Sling for Adults 12+ - Includes ProMove Carry Bag is manufactured by ProMove UK Ltd and distributed in Ireland by Phoenix STS (Safety Equipment Ireland).

The adult sling can accommodate the vast majority of adults, including moderately bariatric individuals and larger children. However, there are models available specifically for people of bariatric size (see under components of the BariKit). The adult sling has a safe working load of 45 stone (630 lb; 285 kg) but realistically will be too small for individuals of this weight and a bariatric model should be selected.

Although the sling is intended primarily for manually handling without a hoist, the addition of hoist straps enable the sling to be used with a patient handling hoist of the type that has a spreader bar (not models with a clip attachment). You should ensure that the hoist is rated appropriately when hoisting large adults. The extension handles are a useful addition for handling individuals in awkward situations, such as carrying down a flight of stairs or lifting from a low-level. The extension handles also permit up to 8 individuals to share the load. The compact bag is a convenient way of taking the sling and accessories with you.
